Entomology is characterized by the study of insects that are of great importance to the world. Of equal nature, the applications in the educational environment of technological methods are increasingly inserted in the educational scope, especially with the implementation of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). With this, the objective was to analyze the mobile applications in Android system in the scope of educational entomology. After the initial search, with the terms “entomology” and “insect”, the applications were identified with their characteristics such as title, description and other aspects that indicated their functions. These were organized and cataloged for analysis. In the next step, all applications were downloaded, installed and analyzed. Includes free-to-use Portuguese apps. The pedagogical approach, application quality features, and intrinsic quality were analyzed. Of the twenty-seven (27) applications identified and selected, which discussed entomology, all of them presented appropriate functions for teaching entomology, according to the aspect to be addressed in the educational context. Mostly with reservations for their applications. On Android, there are several applications that can be didactic resources allied to the teaching of entomology, helping to arouse student interest and make classes more dynamic and attractive. It is relevant to develop new studies for the production of more complete educational applications, aimed at teaching entomology.
