Abstract

Pollination is a valuable ecosystem service that promotes benefits for economic, social and environmental sectors. Bees (Hymenoptera: Anthophila) are the main agents involved in this process and are responsible for cultivating 70% of agricultural crops on a global scale. However, recent studies have reported that the population density of this group in Brazil has been at risk in recent decades due to various anthropic obstacles. In this context, the main objective of this study was to determine the main effects on biodiversity of native species and on agroeconomics between 2000 and 2022 in Brazil. For the collection of data on the subject, a previous bibliographical survey was carried out, between January 2023 and June 2023, in order to collect preliminary information, delimit the subject and assist in the theoretical foundation. For this, we used books and academic articles available online on websites, as well as science magazines. A total of 43 publications related to the subject were found and 33 different magazines were found as a reference for the study assembly. In view of the analyzes and revisions carried out, it was concluded that the drop in the population density of bees is a remarkable phenomenon in all regions of the country. However, in relation to the environmental and economic effects, in general, most of the studies proved to be limited in relation to the medium to long-term consequences in other sectors, mainly in the environmental scope, which strongly depends on the pollinator service.
