Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • When submitting on the Journal's website, write the title of the manuscript in capital letters, and insert the names of all authors of the manuscript.
  • Instructions were followed to ensure a "safe blind assessment", that is, care not to identify authors in the full text file sent.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors , on the About page.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor".IF THE MANUSCRIPT HAS ALREADY BEEN PRESENTED IN ANY EVENT, INFORM THE NAME OF THE EVENT AND DATE IN "COMMENTS TO THE EDITOR".
  • In the authors' metadata, it is required that the link of the referred identifier be placed in the ORCID field. For example: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6586-4067.

Guidelines for Authors

The Brazilian Journal of Policy and Development (BRJPD) accepts original articles, also accepts articles presented at scientific events, provided that this information is made available by the authors to the editor, or provided that they are articles invited by the editor.

The submission of the following types of work is accepted:

 - Sections of scientific papers:

 - Section with thematic dossier - when the editor and editorial board are defined;
 - Section with articles  - comprises empirical articles and essays. They are considered essays, articles that bring a deep review of the theory and that bring some advance in the theory / or methodology in a certain area - continuous flow;
 - Expanded abstracts section - comprises expanded abstracts that have already been presented at some event - continuous flow;

Sections of non-scientific papers bringing advances to knowledge are:

 - Interview section - continuous flow;
 - Section with experience report - includes, for example, case reports of public policy cases - continuous flow;
 - Reviews - review of international books relevant to the area of ​​study - continuous flow.

 

AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE: Humanities (Anthropology, Archeology, Political Science and International Relations, Sciences of Religion and Theology, Education, Philosophy, Geography, History, Psychology, Sociology, Arts, Linguistics and Literature), Applied Social Sciences (Public Administration and Business, Accounting, Tourism, Architecture, Urbanism and Design, Communication and information, Law, Economics, Urban and Regional Planning, Demography, Social Work).

Instructions for authors

The BRJPD journal does not require strict formatting rules (such as: number of pages, words). We accept APA 7th edition and Brazilian ABNT as formatting styles).

Authors must use 2 templates for sending the article (submission): 1 template for the supplementary document (metadata)  and 2 template for the complete article

Authorship: maximum of 8 authors per article.

Languages allowed: Portuguese, English, and Spanish.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

All articles must contain the essential elements necessary to evaluate a manuscript (Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature review / Theoretical framework, Methodological procedures, Results, Conclusions. Figures, charts and tables must contain legends). (Must be sent using the appropriate template)

 


*** The abstract and keywords must be in the 3 publication languages ​​(Portuguese, Spanish and English).

 


References and citations should be in formatted as APA 7th edition OR  Brazilian ABNT .The use of DOI is highly encouraged.


When an article reaches the proof stage (after acceptance for publication, the authors will be asked to deliver any items that are still necessary for publication, for example, editable source files.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT TO THE JOURNAL WEBSITE?

When submitting on the journal's website, write the name of the job title in capital letters.

 

And enter the names of all authors of the work.

THE INCLUSION OF AUTHOR NAMES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER SUBMISSION.

Ensure a safe blind review:

In Microsoft Office documents, the author's identification must also be removed from the file's properties (see File menu in Word), by clicking on the following, starting with File in the main Microsoft application menu: File> Save As> Tools ( or Options on Mac)> Security> Remove personal information from file properties when saving> Save.
